    [buglist] 15 minute flag refresh & pet flags

    Pet hits refresh 15 minute flag on master with each hit they make, it's not fair since each weapon hit/nano hit doesn't do the same.

    Also, fixing that situations where pets can get master flagged on zonning even when they are in flight is also bad, mkay.

    Example: enter Tir as omni, cast QW, zone through the gate, pets pick aggro from clan guards and automatically flag you, even though they can't attack. They also don't follow you, they stay rooted in place where they picked aggro.

    Ok, I want to get a few reports in on this, but I'm going to of course try to replicate on Test either tonight, tomorrow or the weekend time permitting.

    Yer, that's because pets are set on their default "guard" behaviour at each zone, as I already listed in the original buglist thread. So if you get attacked right after you zone, you don't have enough time to hit the "follow" button fast enough, hence you get flagged.

    The flag-update thing is another bug.. Good thing you pointed that out

    Would it be possible to set the default status to "follow" instead of "guard" for all pet profs' pets? I'm sure this has probably been mentioned many times before and the fact that I don't see many people suggesting it makes me wonder if someone already tried and failed, and everyone just gave up on the idea. But I'd really prefer for my pets to not do anything I didn't instruct them to, rather than me trying to frantically recall them because they're being dumb while I'm zoning or whatever... :\

    Default follow has been suggested a few times. One of the drawbacks is with beginners, for whom the experience is usually much better if pets default to guard.

    I think it'd be better if the player could toggle this somehow. Pets would be cast with guard as default, but you could toggle the pet to default to follow...

    It's not that automatic guard on zone bothers me that much when I'm grounded, it's the extra annoyance when I'm flying, since I can't simply do a quick follow order to my pets if I'm high above them (out of range issue - they can't hear me).

    So then a possible solution to this bug would be having a quick tab in the options to be able to set which behavior you want the pets to default to? I could see how having pets on guard could save your bacon earlier on, but towards endgame it's merely an annoyance for most.

    That would be awesome.
    I dont think i'm the only person who has been tired and forgotten to
    set the healpet on my a$$ after climbing the stairs ( but maybe that wouldnt change with this proposal).
    I also think the Crat peeps would love to get rid of the permanent aggro list of their charms as well, so tinkering with this would benefit all the pet owners.

    A Pan-pet owner proposal would i believe be a good thing
    , can our profs find the time to drag crat/engi profs into this?
    Six Professional should be louder than 2 right? ( have spent some time in the engi forum and i am not quite sure about that, but the grand total should rise )

    Since the crats have the most f-upps with pet/charm interactions, i think nothing will be final for FC untill they have been heard from.

    Changing the healpets "guard" response ( as someone proposed in another thread) would ofc be a mixed blessing for the times when you need it to overcome pathing problems (ie. combat pet is fighting in other room and you need to get the healpet to it).

    But more choices on default behaviours sounds great.

    Klod, have you checked this recently? I just tested it with my 220 MP and a dual-logged 220 agent. I let the flag run down a couple mins, and had rihwen hit the agent. No refresh on flag. I tried hitting him with a nuke, and perks, and even attacked him with my SoZ. Still no refresh. I tried hitting the guard again. Nothing. So either you got bugged, or they fixed it. If it was neither, some way to reproduce it would be appreciated.

    Took a stab at this myself just now:

    Upon hitting a guard, I got a flag, switching from pet to weapon or nuke or vice versa did not refresh the flag. Attacking a new guard did not refresh the flag. Attacking a player who was flagged did not refresh the flag.

    Mind going into a bit more detail about how you found this? On the other hand, the tooltip for "PvP Enabled" doesn't seem to want to show up properly post-zoning, so that might need peeking into.

    Well, I must admit last time I tested it, it was last year, when I had that 1 month free game time. I will test it next time I log in, I wonder if they stealth fixed it for real.

    Aye. Strangely, it doesn't occur anymore. I guess it's only the zone/pet guard issue left to deal with.

    On a related topic:

    When you LD and a flagged player attacks your pets while you're logged off, they will attack back the instant you log back in, before you're even able to do anything ingame, getting you flagged.

    One more stupid thing about forced "/pet guard", that needs to go.
