Anarchy insta crashes on Mac after update. Can't play!

I'm running Anarchy Online on mac for years now, using Crossover Games. Until today's update everything was dandy. Right now whenever I start it after login if I click play I get "anarchy online crashed, report to Funcom" box every time within few seconds after clicking it.

What did you do guys????

Frankly this sucks. I pay for game now I can't run it...

I think it might be the same bug as Linux guys have. Anyway, here is the stack, please fix it:

Try to move the file somewhere else. A friend of mine got only a blank window when attempting to open the shop, we found out that his antivirus scanner moved the file to quarantine.
AO worked like a charm, except the shop.

So that could be a workaround for you until everything else works.

Yeah, renaming was one possible option i recognized this morning during my way to the work...

Okay so removing awesomium.dll before running login client causes game not to pass validation.
Removing that same dll after game passes validation causes game to quit silently when you press "play"

Oh, c'mon. Linux wizards are in the same boat. I do hope you get some crap like this back to you if/when you got some patching problems or anything else game related...

Linux/MacOS are not supported so I would not expect FC to put resources into fixing the problem..

They probably won't but within community solution might surface and thats what i'm hoping for. Maybe i'll find it myself and share....

Its a problem some of us are facing and i'm not going to switch to windows because of this game, because I strongly dislike windows. Maybe wine or crossover get patched somehow ...

Funny thing is I can care less about the introduced shop, so for me its a real bummer...

but ... maybe the undercover penguin taskforce within the AO team may grab themselfs a heart and rescue a little part of freedom ^^
