I dunno about others, and maybe I missed the gripe thread ... but inferno makes me feel like I'm on an old RGB monitor and G and B are dying or dead.

Seriously, it didn't improve things at all to me. Just made it look like we're looking through someone's rose colored glasses. Except then the brain naturally filters out alot of the excess red to compensate (which is what the old inferno shader made me feel like had happened).

Tone down the (red) tone!

i don't know why but its so dark to me, and makes me dizzy for some reason.... but if i never seen Inf i would say thats what it should looks like :P change is always hard but i can get use to it! can't wait for the Pen White Out storms O_O

And next someone complains that penumbra is too bright and adonis contains too much water... Inferno is Hell. Hell burns. Fire is red.

It is, in fact, way to red for my taste, esp. that certain tone of red lays over the whole scene like a filter.
Looks more like a gay-bar then an inferno. Cheers about the lack of fog though.

I love the new inferno. I used to crash every now and then cause of the the graphics that was used before this patch. Now lets hope they fix adonis undewater and alien ships which are the other spots where this happens to me.

No, not really. That all depends on what is burning and what residues it produces.

The current inferno look is much better in my opinion. The old one mainly stood out due to the absence of colors that made it look like a hellish place - too washed out and boring.

Performance is also much better. Overall, a good and welcome change.
