I was on a boat cruise today (just a little boat, going around a Marina and down a river, it was more like a money tour than the dolphin tour it was supposed to be. Driver guy kept point out the 6 million dollar houses and 10 million dollar boats just to make us feel poor.) with my grandmother and a friend of hers who lives nearby to where I am. The purpose was to see some of the city I've moved to, and some dolphins.
Unfortunately, there were no dolphins. But while cruising around the canals looking at all the mansions, the driver alerts us over the PA that he's not come this way before, and they had to deviate the route. (I forget why). And then we come up to this blocked off area in the canals and theres these two bridges, ones really really tiny (you could barely get a rowboat under it) and the other quite small. Although it just kinda.. Looked small. It wasnt really small.
So he's like. Over the PA. 'Crap. We're coming up on a bridge and theres no room to turn. I hope we fit under it. Well. If we dont, I hope my boss doesnt mind if I bring the boat back as a converable.'
All the grannies on the tour start jittering nervously.
I'm just keeping my opinion to myself. They've clearly all forgotten it's April 1st and should be on their guard.
So we scoot under the bridge (with about a foots clearance), everyone heaves a sigh of relief. Then over the PA our driver announces he got us all, April Fools, rar rar.
The man is a tour boat driver f'christs sake. He probably goes under that bridge 20 times a day. :P
