Got this one about four or five times so far. The way it works the sprout spawns at the spot you're suppose to go to. Four dark enigmas spawn at four points around it just outside of the ruins and move to attack the sprout but can also attack each other. You are expected to get credit for three out of four of those kills while keeping the spout alive then you get a new mission to check on the enigma sprout. This is a find/tag mob type and yes it does only last a minute or two at the most. If that times out you then get the kill three dark enigmas mission again.

Also the wait time between spawns is about twenty minutes. One time I came with two chars within team range of each other, started to buff up then along comes a 220 with a lowbie. The lowbie goes to the spot, the 220 insta kills the dark enigmas then they fly off. I then had to stand around for about twenty minutes before another batch would spawn.

Yes, thanks for the additional info on this one ... I have a bit more ...

Problem to avoid ... If you kill the 4th dark enigma before you tag the sprout the whole mission resets even if the tagging part of mission has not timed out.

So, if you solo this daily you have to get credit for killing 3 dark enigma while sprout is still alive ... not 2, not 4 ... 3 only. Once you have credit for 3 tag the sprout. If this takes 2 spawns be careful with your count.

If you need help with this one, bring a crat friend who can Area-Mezz preferably the top rk area mezz and team up of course. You run in and trigger spawn and then back off. Have friend (or yourself if you dual-log) keep their bot on wait/follow so bot does not mess things up and attack sprout, first mezz all the spawn, then send bot after first dark enigma, keep casting area mezz as the sprout will keep breaking it, once bot has killed 3rd dark enigma switch back to toon with mission and tag sprout, wait for mission complete message, then you can kill the 4th dark enigma if you don't want to be chased, casting area mezz all the while. Then you both can leave area.

Can anybody confirm IF there is another daily mission EXCEPT CoH for toons around lvl 80-95?

ALL my dailies in that level range where located in CoH which slightly disappoints me to say the least.

Usually the way I do it is bring another char, team up, set the char with the mission to /follow the higher lvl, get the mobs to spawn, higher one kills then as it starts on the fourth switch chars to tag. Pretty sure I've usually killed all four before tagging and everything still went fine. Maybe you were just slow and it timed out.

    -------------------------

To check something I rolled a new char and pulled a mission. At about lvl six it was told to go into the subway to kill a host of various mobs, some fairly deep down and would be well above my lvl. Not likely. Rolled another char, was roughly the same lvl and was sent to The Longest Road to get some stuff from Omni mobs in what seems to be a very solo mission area (no key and only the mission holder seemed able to go in). Oh, they're lvl 25 mobs. Some don't hit too hard but use heals, a lot, so if you're damage is low it makes for a very long fight. Another is armed with the torturing device from Morgana and does some 120-150 damage per whack, which was two or three whacks then reclaim. So basically no way in hell that's going to get done.

On a third char, this time at lvl 12 I was sent to Wartorn Valley to hunt various mobs for items. Could get all the parts from mobs around lvl 4-12 so it was doable with that char. There was mobs up to lvl 30 which I think are new, didn't need to kill those though. Although the items to collect are only unique, not nodrop or nodrop unique and come from outside mobs that are always around. This means the char with the mission could stay in the daily mission building while a higher lvl farms the drops then comes over to trade them to the char so it can hand them in.

Once I go to a lvl 200+ char doing dailies usually means I'm sent off to hand out fliers, train a pet dog, hack terminals in empty cities or the like. If I do get the odd mission where there are mobs to deal with they're typically grey and stand no chance against lvl 200+ chars at all. Although for lvl 1-200 chars it may be doable or you have no hope in hell of doing it on your own plus seems to always involve killing stuff. Seems like an odd arrangement.

There is also one to kill mobs near the crash site in Milky Way, but the last mobs in that mission are up to level 110ish... which does not bode well for an 80ish toon.

I had those missions before and could solve them with care and OSBs. But now I get only the CoH missions.

    Rats.

Got this on a lvl 125 MP the other day. They were the same lvl 100 rollerrats I can see with lvl 201+ chars. Shouldn't there be a bit of lvl scaling?

There is an Embrace the Shadows mission south of ICC in a new zone to find a Glow in the Dark box of loot ... you have to kill shades that see you while looking for the box. Also must dbl-click box and not get aggro until it finishes activating. I have always found to the south, but not in the same spot each time.

There is also a Go put Virus in the Mainframe mission in the Cyborg facility in Avalon ... Citadel I think it is called. This one you have to kill, or mezz, etc the Cyborgs you meet until you make it to the back to activate the item mission gives you into/onto the mainframe in back room. If you get this one save the 3 Cyborg armor parts you find to give to your 55ish toon for the Collect these 3 Parts mission near Cyborg Barracks.

    I have had these 2 missions with 85 - 94 ish toons.

    Good Luck,

I found it in the same spot every time, but I had to run my tl6 alt out there and set a waypoint to find it. I had the bad luck to get that mish when it was pitch black outside, which made the item impossible to find the first few times. I love that Cyborg Citadel mish, quick, easy kills even on a relatively low-dd froob, and as you stated, parts for the lowbie borg barracks mish.

That COH mish...meh. The first few mobs in the chain are ok, but the rest of them? Most of which are located deep inside in crowded rooms making it difficult at best to pull? If I'm lucky enough to have a high lvl alt inside already, I'll kill it on him, otherwise, delete on sight.

    About the low level missions.

First I was sent b the agency to the good time party mixer. And now they want me to go talk to Dante Karrel about Totw

Im guessing this "new daily missions for ALL levels" was a bit of an overstatement then? Or have the xp reward for these old missions been increased?

I have zero desire in running around forever to get living cyber armor.

Interesting. I had this cyborg mission when my fixer was lvl 72 and I also thought "how can I solve this?". Fortunately, there was a higher level engineer with a much higher level pet in front of me and killed most of the cyborgs in the citadel. I only had to kill some cyborgs outside before I could enter the building.

This also makes me think that the level ranges of the daily missions should be much smaller than they are now.

    This is also interesting.

My fixer got a mission in Foreman's dungeon (kill 5 of floaters, bloaters, robots, bio-thingies, bodyguards). AFTER that mission she was pointed to the guy who gives out the full biomare quest (where you get the collar).

Actually I found that quite nice and a good idea, because
    • the daily missions are advertised all over RK, you can find the ads in every major city
    • the ads give you a mission to go to the Agency, you can't miss it
    • and then you'll get a pointer to a very popular quest which you HAVE to start from that (more or less hidden) guy in order to get the final reward.

This is good. Finally, after a very long time there is in-game help how and where to find quests. You still can see the terminals in the backyards with the floating "?" symbols which say "right-click on me in order to get information". There is also the guide in the backyard. But all that has been used a looooong time ago. New players don't see those information because they don't start in the backyards anymore but on noob island.

There is much room for improvement, of course. But it is a good start IMHO.

    Thumbs up Extraction

I just had this mission on my 150 soldier. It was amazingly good. I didn't kill all the mobs beforehand, maybe 4 or 5 on the way to the NPC. I knew to bring a Clan application form because I saw it in the Daily shop and heard something about needing it, maybe this could be stated more explicitly in the description. Anyway, when escorting the NPC, I was amazed that he would CH me after fights! Yay! He had enough HP as well to be able to handle 3 mobs on him and a 4th on me, and dispatching the mobs didn't take too long - they had what, less than 25k HP on the average.

One little thing that would be cool would be if the NPC would chat in vicinity upon reaching the exit. I almost accidentally exited the building before talking to him again. Overall, great mission.

Ah, you were lucky to get a doctor to escort then. I wonder if your profession has something to do with the profession of the target NPC or if it is random.

On my NT I've only ever gotten a trader NPC - a suicidal gimp that seemed to care more about combat than heading for the exit - and an engineer, which had a bot+dog and hardly needed my help. But since I've only drawn that mish 5 times (plus exiting/reentering to reset and get the engi), it's too small a sample size to know for sure whether it's profession related.

There really are a lot of daily missions that need to be seriously examined.

Between bugs, exceptionally annoying objectives, difficulty that is THROUGH THE ROOM, something needs to be done really.

TEMPORARY SUGGESTION: Instead of an 18 hour delay when you delete a mission, chance that to 1 hour or 2 hours. Then at least when you get a crappy one, you can delete it and still do one in a moderately reasonable amount of time.

My shade, a week or so ago, got a mission to talk to Ace Starr (biomare quest line guy), however, as she had already completed the entire quest series that Starr gives out previously this resulted in a mission I could not complete as he wouldn't talk to me.

Something else that needs a fix.

Other than that, I have to say that I do love the idea of the daily missions, some are mundane and a bit boring but others are quite interesting to do. It's real nice to get a complete level on my 85 shade and the equivalent of two successful inf missions per day on my 216 Agent.
