Thread: Aimed shot: what should it be?

    1. Agents - Insta AS each 15 seconds
    2. Soldiers - Aim 3 seconds - blocks FA skill (same skill)
    3. Crats/Advs/Traders - 5 seconds Aim time (same skill as FA ofc)
    4. All rest - 10 seconds AIm time (same skill as FA ofc)

    But, any change to AS - time wise/dmg wise will boost Evade proofs. Currently, I am very unrest about fixers/MA/Advies being totaly unhitable w/o AS, so this would make them even more powerfull.

    There must be, along with AS change (which is required imho!), rework of specials-dev check.

    I dont see why crats and advys should have lower AS execution time, they got other means of dmg and/or superior survivability.

    The proposed cast time is still a joke. Not implementing that would be a start.

    I don't find AS to be too much of a problem, it's just that damn AS pistol in the hands of advs/crats/engis...

    And yeah, a cast time on AS is lame

    Another thing that will make regular pvp'ing - between people based on their skills (as opposed to semisploits, ubers bought with Chinese labor and RL cash, and some profoundly f'd up equations) - functional is the removal of max damage based on user's HP. It's too easy to run low HP, get some Hots and absorbs and become unkillable because you're so fragile. As if that made sense.

    Forcing agents into standing still shooting on a target would require that our snareperks works in a proper manner and/or having very high burst-damage, or else agents get steered into more soldier/defensive-types of builds.

    Not sure if that is the intention of the rebalance.

    I also think working on professions is a better fix than slapping Aimed Shot on all kinds of weapons.

    Keep in mind, advies, MA's and fixers are in vastly different places right now.

    AS may be needed to kill fixers if you've really fudged your setup
    MA's can be killed by almost anything unless youre really gimped yourself
    Advies are only nearly unkillable because of the AS pistol and 80% checking perks that they can use effectively in hugely defensive setups.

    Imo, if you remove the AS pistol, Advies will once again NEED to go more AR setup, and with way more FA support to be effective, thus reducing their defence substantially (working as intended)

    Fixers need a nerf (Full auto is retarded now esp paired with AS)

    MA's are still balanced, killable if in AR setup, which is needed to kill others, hard to kill in defensive setup in which they can't kill others.

    Aim time?
    what is the different between aim time and more recharge time?
    Basic recharge: 12s + 5s Aim time... vs. 35s recharge ?
    Most professions wich using aimed shot are not able to reach a high skill or good recharge.
    I did not hit with capped damage on every aimed shot.

    if u can handle a pistol and you aim .... yes absolut logical... u failed! ....

    Fixers do get AS taken away? Well not entirely but you'll see pretty much all fixers with 2 envies after balancing.

    Give it a def check. Raise the AS skill of AS specialists to be in-line with Soldiers (Agents)/Fixers (Other Profs for FC to determine).

    Appropriate changes to all professions in rebalancing can then only focus on offensive boosts where needed, defensive boosts where needed, PvP playstyle changes, and general quality of use changes.

    AS is must-be at tl4/5 if you want tio hit MA/Fix/Adv more then once per 30 seconds. Idk what AS will be, what they (FC) will change, but Tl's must be looked much deeper into,t hehn jsut dmg change. I mean, no AS = no hit at all.

    There has to be a massive nerfing of Defences and Def checks that exist because they counter AS spam.

    Thing is... Thinking across all title levels, it's really true that a lot has to change if AS goes away. What's the point when you're missing someone 28-38 times a minute, your specials miss, perks don't land and your pets look silly. Yeah, evades.

    If AS gets a cast time and melee interruptible status, what's next? Fixers that hotswap to melee? Immortal MAs? Melee advs?

    That's exactly why AS is not broken and should not be fixed.

    Because pet profs should rely on their pets and not be able to win a buncha duels completely without them, because advs have way too much defense to also get such fubar easymode offense along with even worse perk checks and since when do docs have trouble with evaders? Like malpractice aint enough they also need a pretty damn strong AS pistol, wtf?

    A doc's AS might not seem strong to a soldier but as evader wtf is really all that comes to mind.

    I know that all these except advy had AS weapons before, but those were much inferior back-up kinda weapons.

    Except everyone can kite my pets to uselessness. They are killable, debuffable, kiteable, exploitable. And that is more of a pet pathing issue, which has tryed ot be fixed MULTIPLE times and it never was. So I hold no hopes.
