    Less random mechanics.

    What sets good modern games apart from the crappy old ones is that theres less random chance calculation.

    Things like the new Deflect mechanics is only adding more of random bullscheiBe.

    If you want to rebalance the game so bad use other mechanics instead,
    like attach penalties to nanos/perks, or
    must be behind target
    must be hehind target + in shadow to sneak
    must be snared/rooted/not moving target, or
    target must be passive
    target must step on trap for snare.
    Target hp below 10% for charm,
    Blind reducing targets character view distance
    Must not be in line of sight.
    Check Melee skill vs enemy AR to block fast/medium attack
    Check evades vs enemy AR to evade medium/heavy attack
    Must be in 5meter range
    Must (not) be in 5meter range

    Its because they way combat mechanic works in AO, if you dont match this you can not have combat. There is no real collision between you and the target, when you fire its just a animation that is synced, and not real fire. Melee is also synced, you dont hit when you hit. That is why monster can hit you miles ways because they are in a synced timer and the range distance between you and the target lose sync.

    My favourite msg is = You can not do this while falling.. A simple self local raycast down, would fix that.

    i understand what you are saying, about the server working on predictions unless otherwise given player commands.
    there is however no reason for FC to implement more random aspects of the game.

    Whats next? you will only have a 50% chance of your stim working?
    Or have a chance for your yalm to break down on you mid flight?

    Already feel this way about stims since you can't use them if you have perks queued.

    But agree, in a game where skill/stat twinking is the primary activity of most players, adding a luck factor is borderline crazy.

    I am not looking forward to having twinked toons sometimes performing at the same level as untwinked toons simply due to the fact that the RNG gods weren't looking favorably on me that day. It really takes away the sense of accomplishment of twinking at all. I really enjoy maximizing my toons, even as I level them and honestly this is just taking away from the fun factor of such projects.

    Procs were already a big mistake (especially for some overpowered ones like debuffs)
    Deflect is another step in the wrong direction.
