Desert eh? sure does rain a lot then
and on THAT note look up desert in the dictionary.
The antarctic is classed as a desert it snows there
just bein pedantic

The reason probably is that if they made it snow, then they'd have to allow for snow collection on rooftops and in the trees (and a melting off period as well?). But that's just too much trouble. It's much easier to simply make Rubi-Ka a "desert planet" where it never snows.
Along the same lines, I've kinda wondered why, for all the sandstorms, we never see sand piled up anywhere. I guess we're just not supposed to think about those things.
