Discuss: 13.8 Bow special attack implementation

Well great

- Bow special attack dmg is lower then an avg hit
- Bow special does not work with best bow (Junior Urban)

No way ill go for bow special now.

Perhaps at your lvl they don't do more damage then your bow. But higher level arrows do a good deal of damage. The QL120 fire arrows do more then 1k dmg.

Also the Junior Urban is not the best bow... the Schuyler is. Here is a rundown. QL47 Schuyler vs. QL41 Urban.

QL41 Junior Urban Crossbow
Ammo: 10
Range: 16m
Attack: 2.46
Recharge:2.50
Dmg: 6-90(94)
Specials:
Fling
Aimed Shot

QL47 Schuyler Bow
Ammo: 20
Rng: 18m
Attack: 2.50
Recharge: 2.50
Dmg: 1-158(66)

None

So you see.. the Schuyler does much more damage (close to double) with the downfall of no specials and min-dmg of 1. The bow I listed is the bow my MA on Test uses at lvl61. It crits fairly often with SG and usually in the high 300's. Oh.. and the new arrows work with them.

Hmm my QL103 Urban does crits of 850 dmg and aimeds of 900, my alpha strike tends to instakill mobs with luck, im not sure Shuyler can. Then again ammo is nice. mhmm darn I can byt a Shuyler anywhere. Keep me up to date on where to buy

Well.. they MAY be in the Trader only stores. I have yet to conferm this myself but from what I understand they are.

I do not want "bow special attack" Crap! I put points into Bow! Make the damn things more useful! right now bows which ae just as deadly as guns in RL SUCK!

At 17 my MA on live uses QL27ish Poison Bamboo arrows.. they do 138dmg a hit.. that's significantly more then a regular hit with my bow (QL21 OT Prototype).

QL120 Flame arrows do a LOT of dmg.

BTW Schuylers aren't in the game apparently.. I'd expect to see them in the Black Market comming out soon.


It seams the only people still posting on this thread are the whinners.. so this is my last reply unless someone asks or comments constructively.

Fion, the 'you can now construct your own arrows", know what the mean with that? I mean, erm we could already do that..

no we could already construct our own Bow Special Attack arrows. I suspect they mean the regular 440c/20 arrows Good news for the lower lvl bow-users who care barely afford arrows.

Now if only the patch would include the Schuyler, Nova-Flow MK1 and MTI Russians :\
