I started out in the clans and many moons ago i switched to OT. I bought a bunch of maps and uploaded them, etc.

poof! I quit the game till it becomes more stable.

Poof! I come back.

Last night I walk into Galway Shire and "damn, no map". Oh well, I'll go buy the map and upload it.

"click" "You need a map navigation of 600 to use this"

Uhm...600???? In my walking around this place there were a good many grey creatures, and it reminds me of a newbie area in how things are set up. Is the 600 requirement because I switched over from the clans?

I honestly can't imagine getting a 600 map nav on a soldier, until...well... prolly never!!!

Anyhow, any insight would be appreciated.

I am afraid that is the map skill required to use it. It is one of the maps that is provided in the Omni Starter kit which means Omni's can upload it regardless of their map skill, but clanners cant upload it until they pile loads of points into map nav.

It's so much cleaner in Omni. Don't you love Rome? Sure beats walking around in the filth of Tir. Those smelly clanners just have no self-respect.

Umm what's wrong with Tir? The water is clean and all. The omnis have huge factories producing alot of pollution. They are just located a nice way from the cities so the propaganda of "dirty clanners" works better.

Just buy the Basic Omni-Tech Maps.... they are at the bottom of the map terminal and this includes Galway and several other hot spots

You must have never read the requirments to upload those start maps

I tried uploading the startup maps and found out what Oberon mentioned (no other maps uploaded). I looked all over for a /format map reader command, but no luck

As far as Tir goes, I roamed those lands long enough to know that "Dirty" is not propaganda. Broken walls, dust storms, you name it! Heck, they got water there that burns the first 3 layers of skin right off ya when you wade through it!!!!!!

Can't blame Tir's "acid water" on Omni either, I am sure they have no factories located inside the city!

Now I got me a fine apartment in Omni E, I got enough cash to hit nightclubs and eat REAL food, enjoy a few drinks with it and go buy a new outfit when I want.

You enjoy Tir. Me? I'll enjoy a real city.

Tir has the cleanest water in the land. Unlike those omni factories that constanty pour pollution into the streams
