    Can you elaborate?
    * I just installed the "new engine" and booted up the parser
    * It immediately recognized AO
    * The chat window was added without any issues
    * The character was recognized, and its parsing just fine..
    * /loot is working as intended

Is the issue related to having both the old and new AO engine installed? Two directories under appdata?

Edit: 1.1.21 will detect glancing hits, but not distinguish it from regular hits.

What does this mean? Does it list it as a glancing hit or just that it can detect it but ti will not tell you when it happens or list it yet?

I mean the hashed folder in the local User that appears from multiple installs, can it reliably detect that as well?
    AppData\Local\Funcom\Anarchy Online\xxxxxxx\

One thing to test tomorrow and see are:
    1) Critical hits - I remember it not registering them.
    2) Loot from the /loot, /eloot commands.

I am kind of curious. Why has no one ever made a plug in for ACT. I know that even TSW has a plug-in. Is there something in AO that just isnt compatible? Or has no one ever tried?

It will register the damage amongst your regular hits, instead of ignoring the damage all together.
Is there any benefit in listing glancing hits seperately?

    Seems not. Looking into it.

First I ever hear of it. I merely made our existing (org) parser more user friendly, never looked into what else is out there =)

Updated DcDump to 1.1.22, this latest fix should hopefully correctly register critical and glancing hits.

Appdata fix I'm leaving in the capable hands of Timba, while I'm working on Item Assistant

Glancing hits might be nice to see the percentage and if its worthwhile to spec out.

    New v1.1.23 update:
    - Exact total damage.
    - Working critical detection.
    - Working glancing hit detection, along with statistics ( number and total percentage )

I'll be looking in the future to add the new pets, fix loot detection, improve the preferences detection, aligning it to the single dimension, and general refactoring work.

Bring some feedback if it's useful or what features and bugs need to be stomped

    New v1.1.24 update:

    - Added new 18.7 MP pets.
    - Fixed Carlita and Engineer 150 dog.
    - Added trader pets.
    - Small readabilty changes in the source

It should detect all the new pets and tie them to the master, of course following the restrictions imposed by AO's combat logs.

I would appreciate a quick fix for the appdata issue - just make it possible to set it manually. Or is this fixed already? Only tried 1.1.21.
(I have old + new engine installed - and DCdump detects new engine prefs which I just used on an froob account)

I have the opposite of this, DCDump only picks up my old engine prefs and not my new engine prefs.

I have Timba chained down in my basement, working hard at fixing any unresolved issues.

Please ignore any popup messages crying for help, they are merely a joke! I promise.

Right, do not promise if you can't deliver. I couldn't finish it for tonight, lots of path issues that needed to be fixed and now I'm encountering a few other quirks I didn't have time to get I'll be looking at it during the week and hope to finish compatibility with the prefs soon as I have to take a few baby steps through code I'm not used with

    New version 1.1.31:

    - Fixed preferences for the application appdata. It no longer checks the old preferences in the AO folder, but now checks all the preference hashes in the Users folder ( Including testserver, Old/new client, basically any install ). Downside of this is that I don't know which hash belongs to which client, so I write the "data" in the DC folders from all the prefs.
Yes, it now works without symlinking

    - Fixed all cases of preference reading
    - Fixed /loot
    - Fixed Research xp adding regression bug introduce a little back, seems a wild <br> appears in the chat for that message.

    Known:
    - Might have bugs. If you encounter an error or crash, please check the folder for UI.exe.log. Feel free to send it by a PM or post it AFTER censoring your account name from the path to not post it publicly.
    - /shopm functionality
    - Needs regression testing on pet hits/crits/glancing

    Thanks, works for me!

    What is "/shopm"?

  17. #97
It would be really good if Michi could make the combat stuff easier to parse, like indicating if a fast attack/brawl/fling or whatever is a crit or if it got deflected and whatnot (a deflected special might be tagged like that, i don't remember)
Develop the logging further, should be easy Michi

Also thanks for updating the dumper.
Don't you just hate this kind of ppl

@Kemi, good question :P what I gather from it is that it lists all the items in a backpack automatically and parses them as a script, but I still need to fix it.

@nanoforcer, sadly the combat logging has not been touched in quite a few years. There are a few bugs with some lines too, but in general, it would need a bit of an overhaul. What would be totally awesome would be:

    - Pet owner names when pet is attacking
    - Better logging for glancing / critical specials

Why should a damage dumper do stuff like that at all? Sounds more like a ugly hack which should be covered by IA already instead.

IA did not yet have /loot or /wp when this was implemented.
