Ilaliya stated in other threads that it'll just be another way of getting AO. The normal way of downloading at FC and installing on your own will still be available.

How would Steam handle TestLive?
Screwed over for the last time.
Go find a new game to play, this one no longer deserves respect.
I suppose once overlay issue is solved, test live would work as well as normal AO.
And what you really asked, I see no reason why it should.
test server isnt the main part of the game anyway.
