Adventurer chat-group up and going on RK-1, Join if you like =D

Hi Adventurers =)

Like some of you might already know I have been trying to find a way to launch a adventurer only chat the last week.
After having some trouble finding a server and server space, I finally did. A friend of mine was willing to have the bot running 24/7 since he has the server online all the time anyway. (thank you YoYo!! =) )

After that I did some testing yesterday and a few ppl joind to check it out, well this resulted in finding a bug, which resultid in upgrading the bot. Im now using "IGNbot" (thank you for that!). Oki then ...so now its up and running atleast, and i hope it will hold out 24/7. =)

You can join "advbot" by sending a tell "/tell advbot join" and he will send a private group join request (flashing light on the nametag)

And some simple rules:

• First of all the intention of this bot is a knowledge sharing chat between adventurers. Naturally all professions are welcome! Some might have an adv alt for example, and be intressted for that reason =) So the main focus will be on the Adventurer profession (See it as a OOC - Adventurers - neutral)

• The bot is entirely neutral witch means no omni/clan talk or flameing eatch other for faction, We are all on the same team here trying to be better at the our profession reguardless of faction or side

• Try keep a mature language on the channel, sure you can get upset and stuff but try keep it moderated and do not spread a bad mood just becous you hate FC or think all fixers are idiots (exampel ..no offence fixers =P )

Oki ..think thats about it =) spread the word so the channel gets "spamed" with information and knowledge =)

I wish someone would do this on RK2. When I was trying out Horizons for a while I created a server chat channel for the profession I was playing, Spiritist. It's quite easy to create and join channels in games like EQ and Horizons, why is it so different in AO? And what does it take to host your own channel?

Host a channel is no big problem at all ..Just download a bot like the one im useing "IGNbot" and get it online ..(dont have a link, not at my computer) ..

The problem is having somewhere to put the bot, If you want the bot to be up 24/7 ... hmm Personaly as i wrote i found a friend who has a server... =) ...hmm

But yes it would be great if FC had some kind of suport for this type of channels ..

havent had the time to play much this last week..
The times iv been online iv seen about 5-10 ppl on the channel on a regular basis and I thank you for your suport =) ... 5-10 is maby not that much but it seams that this things need a lil time to get around .. Hopefully in time this will grow in to a community to complement this forums in-game.. Also I think most adventurers are nice and friendly ppl, so its nice to just chat =)
Perhaps we sould have a "weekly topic" =) ..well we´ll see

I will have some more time to play during this weekend and next week.. Then I will try to promote the channel in game as well, as I know not all read the forums.

I also have som planing on a webpage to further expand advbot and the adventurer chat-cahnnel ...but thats just toughts, I have to see if this gets popular first.
