A shop search terminal is just a connection to a db for items for sale

how hard would that to be coded in to a player shop building?

So they might not be changes we have asked for, but needed anyway.

And it's possible that for some reason there is a design decision made against shop searches in our cities. So no matter how much begging we do, they won't come.

Not saying it would be hard, but maybe they decided that they don't want a shop search terminal in player cities?

Well, yes, it's there job to make it as fun as possible/sell it to as many as possibly.

However, maybe they feel that there are some consequences of it they don't like.
