A new feature of 18.4 is, that the game remembers the names you gave to your pets.
That's nice and all... but is it intended that we're unable to "re-rename" the pet to it's original name? I'm talking about the pet "CEO Guardian" here. Once you give him a different name, it's impossible to revert it back to the original name.
'/pet rename "CEO Guardian"' returns 'Nickname is invalid'.
But I want my pets to have their original names... :/

/setoption PetNameX "" - purge remembered name in selected (by number X) name slot

A quick workaround
Create this file: Scripts/resetnames
Fill it with:
Ingame do: /resetnamesCode:/setoption PetName1 "" /setoption PetName2 "" /setoption PetName3 "" /setoption PetName4 "" /setoption PetName5 "" /setoption PetName6 ""
Recast your pet

I think your problem is reserved names..
You are not allowed to call your pet pARK, sCRAP or ANALyst.
The capital letters show why.
My guess is that "Guardian" is reserved as an ARK title.

Is their a list of these new pet commands somewhere? How do I reset the order they appear in my pet window?
it is can work sometimes, but I'd prefer /pet namereset option for scripting. I'm using 2 name sets for PVM and PVP. while in PVM my pets are named Burst! and Fling Shot!. in PVP they are renamed to Comdriver.Originally Posted by Brofist

Use the script/directions vhab made in a post above, and this will reset the name.
