ItemShop only Holiday items?

So far can only see them in the ItemShop, will they be ingame as well in a quest?

Looking forward to the 12 days of christmas though, thank you for the flower and packet hunting

For people w/Paid Points in game you've been screwed by FC. There is no new items available atm and I doubt they "special occasion" items will hit Phasefront in the future as imo FC wants to generate new income not allow people to use points already bought. So if you bought an orbital apartment on 1 toon, it seems you might as well buy them on all toons.

Am just wondering this as well. It seemed a little cynical that they started selling items BEFORE they drop to begin with. Selling them after, in case you missed some, is nice. But come on, do we have to be this money grubbing at Christmas?

What is ruining the atmosphere is not really new and outrageous social items, as far as I'm concerned this is and always has been a part of AO. The problem now is that people can wear these items 24/7 without it affecting their in-game prowess. The social tab just made these items much more noticeable, as before people were unwilling to untwink themselves for a panda hat.

They should really make the social tab "pacifist only" - just like the weapons. That way the people wanting to .. "party" or RP .. could still have their fun, without un-twinking armor - but the entire game wouldn't look quite as ridiculous.

would never even give this game a chance, if the social nightmare we live in 2day was the first thing i saw after loggin into ao

FC devs should think about it, do we really interest more ppl then scare off from ao with this current social system

i think the exact same thing. i don't want to know how many people uninstall the game immediately after running thru bor and seeing the people "having fun".
in my oppinion that's one of the main reasons people not giving ao a chance at start (together with the outdated gfx).


it's also kinda paradox - because the people that like complex games (like ao) - are usually not the ones
who want to play clowns online.

(social stuff is ok, but it needs to "fit" into the game... ao has way too much childish stuff that kills the look and feel... look at other games like eq2 aso who offer social tabs also: u can have sth unique there - but u never look completely "unfitting" to the gameworld)
