Mercury Dragons Clan seeking scientists

We're currently in the development of two projects:

MD Notum Battle Armor - Current prototype is in alpha stage, made to withstand the heavy sonic and radioactive attacks from alien weapons.

We're working on strengthening the basic layers of the armor to insure that it's wearer does not suffer shock during the bonding process of the armor and the person using it. The armor requires a temporary bond with the user to keep track of heartbeart, pulse, any internal and external damage to the body, mental stress and if the wearer is conscious (if he is knocked out the system may go offline and all armor defenses may become inactive).

Several attempts to add a small ion laser as a backup weapon have failed, due to the energy requirements of the armor itself to function and having not enough additional energy to power even a small weapon.

The purpose of this project is to provide all rubikans with new technology to increase the survival of a fighter while engaging the alien threat.

Currently we're still having problems with the 'recycling' process of power for the armor. The idea is to use the notum which is bonded into every piece of the armor to 'flow' in a loop to keep power levels at peak efficiency. However there are some minor leaks which lowers the power to dangerous levels.

Once the power influx problem is solved, the project will move onto the beta stage, and work on the outter layers of the armor and then field testing.

Dragon Strike M30 Ion Cannon - We're working on the holo blueprints of this project, there is no actual prototype yet due to shortage of materials which are currently in transport to our city (expected to arrive in 2 weeks).

It has come to our attention that Tir and Athen as well as other key tactical locations have come under heavy alien attacks, and that the current ion cannons there lack either the fire range or firepower to provide the protection that is needed.

We will be working on developing the Dragon Strike M30 Ion Cannon for use of ALL faction (yes, including omni). The reason why we will share this weapon with the corporation is that we estimate that the weapon will not be mobile due to the expected large (and quite heavy) power generator which will be required for it to function; therefore it can only be used in a stationary location and not moved against clan interests in the north.

The only drawback we currently are seen, is that due to it's power the new ion cannon will have a higher recharge time (twice that of the current models in towns) however the power will be aproximately 5 times compared to current ion cannons and about twice the range.

These improvements would cause more damage to any attacking alien force, and help defenders create a larger defense perimeter.

We're still working on the targetting system specs and possibly creating an energy shield device to protect the weapon during it's recharge process.

We're looking for scientists, specially engineers who may be able to work with MD's Support, Tradeskill Oriented Research and Medical Department to solve the current problems with the MD Notum Battle Armor and the development of the new Dragon Strike M30 Ion Cannon.
