Crash 75% time I log off

    Hi there,

I keep on getting client crashes when I log off I have to send (or not) a bug report, then kill clientd in task mangler. It's not stopping me play, but it's getting really annoying, lol!

It never happens any other time than at log off, my prefs seem to be updated with any changes, and this happens on both of my home PCs & my work PC (all three are Win7 x64, AO installed at C:\Anarchy Online)

    Here's what gets caught:

    Code:

This has been happening since 18.4.0, I was hoping the last patch would fix it, but no joy

    Any ideas please?

I am getting the same thing when I log out, about 3 out of 4 times it locks up with the game still open, but the toons logout bar completely done. I get the game not responding and have to close program and get the clientd that I have to force closed every time.

I am also running Windows 7 Home Premium and it started with the 18.4 patch.

    Same here.

    It's rather annoying.
    Don't be lonely anymore.

Look at your post, now back at mine. Now back to your post, now back at mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through posts, reading the posts your posts could look like. Back at mine, it's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again, my reply is now diamonds. Anything is possible when you think before you post.

I'm getting the exact same thing.

Also, after such a exited crash i often find that im having the same crash on log-in aswell.
When I restart ao it calims that im already logged in. If i immediately try and enter the game with the loged in character the game crashes again with the same error "Frame pointer not aligned. Stopping!". If I wait for the timed bar to go down to zero then I can log in without problems.

This started after patch 18.4 for me aswell!
Tested on 2 different computers, one of which had default settings. Same problem on both.

    ditto,

if i am not paying attention i will get 3 or 4 windows locked up on the bottom of the screen after running dailies.

I'm guessing that some system specifications would help them troubleshoot this issue.

I am getting this crash about 90% of the time on log off. I haven't had any trouble logging in though. This all started with the 18.4 patch for me also. I'm curious why we haven't heard any official word about this. Something or anything to at least acknowledge that they are aware of the problem.

The problem might not be that wide spread. Even though the several reports here in this thread.
And although annoying, it doesn't prevent you from playing the game.

I'm curious though, anyone experiencing this problem not on Windows 7?
As this is one of the things all 3 of you have in common for now at least.

Can you try moving AO away from program files, see if this helps?

Moving AO away from program files did not help.

You might want to try to reinstall/upgrade your Visual C++ 2005 redistributable.
    Links: x86, x64

    Does this help?
