It would indeeed make sense to give EOT an upgrade.
Since it already drops off a dragon, i would vote for the upgrades to drop from Tchu/Razor/Xark. Maybe all 3, and/or Beast.

Make it an epic quest, preferrably a quest u need lots of time to complete. I wanna see all the oldschool enfos running around.

why not make upgrades for all, and make all the weapons do the same damage as the current best weapon? that way we can see a little variety in weapons. everyone looks the same, these items are awesome dont get me wrong but i wish we could 'personalize' our look a bit more, perhaps change color or something...

see one in action, trying my luck at tarasque with my enf ever sinds he got 150...
with result, i still dream of a EoT to out-preform my PP on rubi-ka (frost-scyth in sl).
but really just boost min to 250 ... and its boosted quite nicely, its not a end-game weapon anymore, but the 50 min... C'mon make it atleast effective vs hecklers.

I have never seen this sword in game but i have seen pictures of it. this is a classic and i would hate to see it become a novilty item like alot of other stuff that is being pushed back because of the new weapons.
